The Ashby family (our niece Leslie, husband Ben, kids Curtis, Ethan and Sara) came to see us last weekend. We took an early morning walk across the Sacramento River on the Sundial Bridge. This is a BIG tourist attraction in Redding. Also there is a very beautiful, nice, paved 13 mile trail that runs along the river that is used a lot by runners, cyclers, and just to stroll.

WE'RE GOING TO BE GRANDPARENTS!

Whiskey Town Lake
More fun with Madison. We took the Jones and the Christensens out with us, and had a great day on the Lake.
TRIP TO COAST
Well after living here almost two years, Dana and I decided it was time to see the Northern Coast. We had to drive over a couple of mountain ranges - very beautiful and green. Nice to see a green healthy forest for a change, which also goes on and on.....
The coast is also beautiful - much different than what we are used to - and pretty cold. Not much for swimming, eventhough the locals think so... I prefer my So. Cal. beaches...
